Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern the use of Sudoku Arena, an online platform dedicated to playing Sudoku, educational content, personal progress, daily challenges and private multiplayer modes.

1. Description of the service

Sudoku Arena is a website that allows users to play Sudoku, consult educational content, save their progress, take part in daily challenges and create or join private multiplayer lobbies.

The service may include grids of different sizes and difficulties, game statistics, leaderboards, levels, achievements, hints, avatars, user profiles and competitive modes such as Sprint, Duel and Blitz.

Available features may change over time. Sudoku Arena may introduce, modify, suspend or remove features for technical, security, game-balancing or service-evolution needs.

2. Usage requirements

  • The user must use Sudoku Arena lawfully, fairly and in a way that is compatible with the recreational and educational nature of the platform.
  • Some features may also be available without registration, but creating an account may be required to save progress, statistics, levels, achievements, leaderboards and results linked to the profile.
  • If the user is a minor or cannot validly accept these Terms, the service must be used with the consent or supervision of the person exercising parental responsibility or legal guardianship.

3. Registration, account and authentication

Registration requires a username, email address and country. Access takes place through a temporary code sent by email, without using traditional passwords.

The user is responsible for the accuracy of the data entered and for the security of their email inbox. Anyone who has access to the email inbox associated with the account can request access to the profile through a temporary code.

From the profile, the user can update certain account information, such as username, country, avatar and email, according to the procedures available on the platform.

4. User responsibilities

  • Do not use identities, usernames, emails or other data belonging to third parties without authorization.
  • Do not interfere with the operation of the site, games, lobbies, leaderboards or progress-saving systems.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to accounts, lobbies, games or data belonging to other users.
  • Do not use the service to share unlawful, offensive, fraudulent content or content that infringes third-party rights, where the platform allows input, usernames, communications or other forms of user-generated content.

5. Prohibition of abuse, cheating and manipulation

Bots, scripts, unauthorized automation, exploits, manipulation of game times, alteration of game states, abuse of access systems, aggressive scraping and any behavior aimed at altering scores, statistics, levels, achievements, lobbies or leaderboards are prohibited.

Sudoku Arena may invalidate games, correct scores, remove results from leaderboards, suspend features or restrict accounts when anomalies, fraud, technical abuse or violations of these Terms emerge.

6. Scores, statistics, levels, achievements and leaderboards

The service may record completed or in-progress games, times, errors, hints, game modes, difficulty, grid size, assigned experience, levels, achievements and challenge results.

Leaderboards may show data linked to the game experience, such as username, time, errors, position and result. Daily challenges and competitive modes may include specific rules, attempt limits, penalties and ranking criteria.

Scores, levels, achievements, leaderboards and results are intended exclusively for entertainment purposes and do not constitute prizes, winnings, monetary credits or economic rights.

7. Daily and multiplayer challenges

Daily challenges offer puzzles associated with a specific day and a specific mode. Multiplayer lobbies are private and can be accessed through an invitation code or link.

In multiplayer modes, the service may record participants, hosts, lobby settings, game status, moves, times, errors, results and winner. Some settings may be changed by the host before the game starts.

Sudoku Arena does not guarantee that every lobby or multiplayer game will always be available, completable or free from interruptions, including in the event of connection issues, page closure, user inactivity or service maintenance.

8. Account suspension and deletion

In case of violations, abuse, fraud, security risk or use that is incompatible with these Terms, Sudoku Arena may limit, suspend or delete accounts and related data, within the limits permitted by law.

The user may request or carry out account deletion through the features available on the platform. Deletion involves the removal of the main data linked to the account, except for data that must be kept temporarily for legal obligations, security, abuse prevention, technical logs or backups.

9. Intellectual property

Logos, graphics, avatars, texts, layouts, interfaces, educational content, code and other elements of Sudoku Arena belong to their respective owners or licensors and are protected by applicable laws.

Use of the service does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the user. It is prohibited to copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit elements of the platform without authorization, except where permitted by law or by any applicable licenses.

10. Availability, maintenance and changes

Sudoku Arena is provided based on the technical availability at the time. Interruptions, slowdowns, maintenance, temporary loss of access, data errors or functional changes may occur.

The service may be updated, suspended, modified or discontinued, in whole or in part, for technical, security, legal, organizational or product-related needs.

11. Limitation of liability

Within the limits permitted by law, Sudoku Arena is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data caused by events outside reasonable control, temporary unavailability, improper use of the platform or behavior of other users.

Nothing in these Terms limits the mandatory rights granted to consumers by applicable law.

12. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service, regulatory obligations or operational needs. The last updated date indicates the published version.

In the event of substantial changes, Sudoku Arena may inform users using methods appropriate to the nature of the change and the features available.

13. Applicable law, competent court and contacts

These Terms are governed by Italian law.

For users acting as consumers, the competent court is the court of the consumer, unless mandatory provisions provide otherwise. In all other cases, the jurisdiction criteria set out by applicable law apply.
